The scientists at DLS Research & Ventures are proud to announce our latest immune diagnostic product line, TrUAllergy DBS. TrUAllergy DBS TEST SYSTEM provides a cost-effective solution for clinicians When investigating symptoms associated with dietary and environmental substances that may cause IgE mediated (True Allergies) as well as non-IgE mediated reactions (INTOLERANCES). True Allergies, which represent only 2% of all allergic reactions, occurs within minutes of ingestion or exposure. Common symptoms range from hives, rash and swelling of the lips or face to swelling of the throat, wheezing, sudden shortness of breath and other potentially life-threatening reactions. On the other hand food intolerance reactions have a delayed onset with symptoms appearing several hours or days after ingestion or exposure and lasting a longer period of time. Common symptoms include eczema, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and in more severe cases, pain, inflammation or weight problems.

TrUAllergy DBS uses whole blood extracted from a blood card to monitor a patient’s immune response to over 88 food and 44 environmental allergens using the TrUAllergy  DBS TEST SYSTEM in collaboration with the TrUAllergy SMART TEST REPORT. The TrUAllergy  TEST SYSTEM is an ELISA-based multiplex assay for the identification of allergen specific IgE immune complexes that trigger immediate allergy symptoms, “true allergies”. The early detection of the allergen specific IgE immune complexes may prove to be invaluable in the identification of dietary antigens that may trigger an immune response that can affect multiple organs in some cases, be severe or even life threatening. In addition to the sensitive and specific detection of allergen specific IgE molecules the TrUAllergy DBS TEST SYSTEM simultaneously monitors the immune response (exposure) to the said allergen as well as identify markers they may be associated with non IgE mediated hypersensitivities when the subject is negative for allergen-specific IgE but displays symptoms of dietary intolerance. This information may be useful in Personalized Medicine strategies for immunotherapy as well as to improve patient wellness.
